     I have a Novatel Merlin CDPD PCMCIA modem that presents a "com"
interface to the host and does PPP.  Sometime between 1.5 and 1.6 it
stopped working.  I did up a -current CD this weekend and tried it
again.  It finally works again.  Thanks a lot.  Have these fixes been
pulled up?
