hi all,
i realized that in 2.0F login(1) recognizes and uses only the
first eight chars of the password, a behavior i didnt note in
previouses operating system versions.

login: myname
password: (12345678)

while the myname's password is instead "123456789".
could it be a /etc/master.passwd mistake? some suggestions?
