POV-Ray: I think that it has been building cleanly out of pkgsrc
for some time. I filed a PR, and shortly thereafter someone else
filed another for the Alpha. The main thing that was required
was removing the -malign-double, I believe, though the Alpha PR
had more changes.
My impression was that the Alpha changes made some more warnings
go away, but did not seem to affect much else.
I believe that I posted a follow-up from my PR to the Alpha PR.
Possibly the POVRay in pkgsrc has been updated, or some other patches
have been applied, if you are having trouble with inline functions and
a long/int32 error. I did not see either of those issues. (Then
again, possibly gcc has changed a bit; my userland is from around
late January when I was last able to build a complete working system.)
As far as the spamming keywords: Opt is a bad keyword to use
followed by either "in" or "out". (^& The offending line
should have been printed in the bounce message. Upper/lower
case does not matter.
X problems are still with me, I'm afraid. I'd really like an
explanation for why a build of X that worked flawlessly (exact
same binaries) under a Jan. 29 kernel would blow up on a later
kernel. Was there a critical kernel API change that broke older
compiles of X? (The X server that I presently have was compiled
on Jan. 25, I believe.)
I've started a rebuild of X, finally. Maybe that will help.
Thanks.
