It's been said to me (I didn't check), that the recently
leaked Windows source code has contained also the NTFS filesystem parts.
Too bad it's not legally possible to look at the code and implement
anything using the gained knowledge :(

Oh, and regarding NTFS write support in NetBSD - no operations
changing the contents of the filesystems are actually supported.
Even the very primitive partial write support (overwriting
file data) didn't work last time I checked. There is no support
for mkdir/rmdir/create/unlink et.al. Consider our NTFS
support read-only ATM - sorry :(
