It should be; it's a proper hardware modem, not a winmodem. I must own up to 
not being a big NetBSD user (I've got it on one or two older, odder boxen 
simply for fun, and was browsing the list archive after hitting it with a 
search) but on Linux, which I run on my main PC, I just use the normal 
'serial' driver which detects my MultiModem 5634ZPX-PCI as a PCI serial port.

I'll have to leave the technical details of how to get it to work under NetBSD 
to a more knowledgable person, but hopefully this information should get you 
started. (Have you tried simply loading the normal serial port driver?)
