maybe partially off-topic but 2 questions:

1) which of standards allows rewritable media to be accessed in floppy
style (sectors directly addressable both on reads and writes).

i've heard that DVD-RW doesn't (but it allows recording DVD's readable in
DVD players), DVD+RW does but with tool to format it (exist in pkgsrc),
DVD-RAM - yes

2) is 1) supported in NetBSD?
