I tried it on two systems:

1) Intel 7505 based Supermicro board (X5DA8)

without MPBIOS and MPBIOS_SCANPCI the system halts during boot:

panic: mpacpi: couldn't find all PCI bus numbers

without MPBIOS and MPBIOS_SCANPCI everything seems to work although dmesg=20
shows quite a few PNP0* not configure messages.

2) Sony VAIO PCG-GRZ610

Works but does not number cardbus busses correctly.=20
