Hello Chris,

I don't think this is the problem, because there have been instances of 
moves and so forth that my own rsync's once upon a time (ages ago) were 
missing because I was missing the --delete option. Adding that option 
cleaned up my cvs copy; however, if the rsync was similarly failing on 
the official box, then I wouldn't have noticed anything.
