Hi,

just got a new PeeCee to setup which is build around the new ASUS
P4P800 motherboard. So befor doing harm to the hardware by installing
BillySoft ;-) I tried to install NetBSD using a bootable NetBSD cd
lying around. Installation worked like a charm and NetBSD 1.6P is up
and running fine, but the 3Com Gigabit interface isn't recognized.
Grepping -current /usr/src/sys/dev/pci/pcidevs for the deviceid (1700)
failed. Googleing for "+10b7 +1700" led to
http://pciids.sourceforge.net/iii/?i=10b7:sub=1 which states that this
is a 3C940. - Which is not supported by NetBSD, yet(?). Anyone working
on a driver for this "thing"?
Maybe I can put another network-card in the box to get the dmesg
output for posting here on monday...
