Hi,

Yes.

Using pppd compiled with sys-bsd.c version 1.40 or 1.42, when I run

# ktrace pppd call [isp_name]

I get a file called ktrace.out which is of a certain size and
has a certain time stamp when the ppp link is up. If I then
power off the modem, pppd's exit messages appear (including the
error messages in the case of version 1.42), but the file
ktrace.out does not increase in size, and the time stamp
remains the same as it was prior to powering off the modem.

The error and exit messages have the same process number as
the startup messages. I don't understand why ktrace doesn't
seem to be logging anything as pppd exits. Nevertheless,
apparently the above command is not what should be run to
obtain the "ktrace output of the part that it tries to remove
the route."

Please tell me what command I should run to get you the
ktrace output you want.

Thanks,

Tom
