Indeed it is register buffered ECC DDR RAM (two 512MB sticks).  There
were no errors in the BIOS log except for the chassis intrusion warning
I caused by opening the box....  (it's an ASUS PR-DLS533 motherboard in
an ASUS-1700 chassis)
