Unless I've misinterpreted the the figures.
Don't try searching the full NetBSD source tree - you need at least
one buffer per directory in order to stop disk thrashing.
(as well as one inode per source file).

I must allocate even more space for buffers - unless anyone plans to
put directories through the UBC (could directory fragments share a 
page?).
