Same here. And thanks to old kernels and /rescue it's mostly easy to recover
if you know what you are doing (and have backups). Where "recover" may involve
dowloading the latest snapshot and untaring the binaries over the mangled
system.

On production systems, where I can not be so careless, of course I run the
release branch ;-)
