The auto-build mechanism (which is how the distributions on
releng.netbsd.org are built) checks out the source with a
particular date and compiles that.

For what it's worth, the source sets for a given build should be in
the "source" subdirectory of the same build directory (e.g,
ftp://releng.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD-daily/YYYYMMDDHHMM/source/ )
