current-users: mail aliases from Solaris NIS server not right?

Hey, all, I've run into (yet another, yeah I know, shaddap) anomaly.

Situation is this:  NetBSD NIS client binding to Solaris NIS server.
All keys in mail.aliases / aliases.byname seem to begin with a space.

I'm wondering what might cause that.  Server is Solaris 7; client is
NetBSD 1.5ZC.
