Hi,

this might not be the same as your case, but I've seen 'lost interrupt'
messages on the console when my hard drive almost died. That was IBM's
drive, and I had FOUR of the same series, and THREE of them got broken.
The controller was (and is) ATA66.
Now I'm using Seagate and have thrown away all IBM drives I had.
