Because it is not ready yet.

There are apparently some graphics cards no longer supported in XFree 4.2,
even on i386.

Other ports have a lot more problems with it (i.e. their servers are non 
existent or don't work at all in XFree 4.2).

We are moving there, but for now we still need both.
