Keyspan is a company that makes a lot of USB widgets - in this case, USB to
serial adapters, for which Linux has a driver. I got a volunteer with good
credentials, so I've forwarded his name to Keyspan, and we'll see if they
get something done.
I'm very happy that Keyspan responded. A year or two back, I wrote and got
no response. This time, they've got a special Linux-compatability team and
an address to write to for help.
