$ OK.  I tried this patch (see below for exact one) on the following

$ I also tried an equivalent patch against 1.42.2.2 (from 1.5).  Neither
$ fixed the wi0: device timeout error.

wi driver in -current divided into PCMCIA attachment and common code of wi.
Before divided,there are next two improvements for sys/dev/pcmcia/if_wi.c.

How about trying these patch?

$ Do these drivers work reliably in -current?

Sorry, I don't have wi device.
So I don't know status of wi driver in -current.
