umm...what are you goin to do with it? Is this for testing/compiling?
I track current on my 5ke laptop(600Mhz), and its pretty fast....

However, I have'nt heared of any horror stories with P4's and
gcc..

SMP support is not quite there yet. I brought this discussion up a few
months ago, and at present we have'nt really moved as fast as we are
in lets say for i386 port.
