Can somebody help me to get rid of the confusion about
TOOLDIR and toolchain.

I saw some messages about this subject in the toolchain mailing list
but I am stil wondering what to do with this phenomena.

These are the questions I have :

What are the toolchains, or where can I find some information about it
What is the reason for creating the variable TOOLDIR ? and what is it
doing during "make build" ?
And what is the best variable value for this variable ?

I did a new "make build" with the variable TOOLDIR ( with the value /tmp )
and everything went ok
