While building David Mazieres's sfs (http://www.fs.net/)
on NetBSD-current, a couple issues came up relating to versions of
tools in the OS.

One of the two remaining glitches in the build is that the make fails
when it gets to the doc/ directory. This problem goes away when I
install texinfo-4.0 to /usr/local and make sure the new makeinfo is
ahead of the old one in PATH.

Questions:

What is involved in updating the OS texinfo, version 3.12, to
texinfo-4.0 in -current?

Is that a desirable thing now?

What version of gcc will be included in the next release of NetBSD?
(the link to Luke's BoF slides isn't working for me at the moment)

Will dynamic C++ libs be usable?
