	This sounds like screen arcing, or your deflection circuitry is
about to bite the dust. Any monitor made within the last 5 years should
have oversync protection, and would not allow itself to be
oversync'd. It's more likely that this is a problem with the monitor and
having nothing to do with the computer or OS. That being the case, you
should probably have it inspected by a "qualified technician."
