I have a kodak DC3400 - I have never even tried the USB connection.
The joys about using the PCMCIA adaptor is that it saves the camera
batteries!  Just slid the CF into the adaptor and slide the adaptor
into the pcmcia slot, mount the drive that appears and copy the files
off.  Easy.
