Hmmm, can it be that with the added support for PCMCIA cards in that
driver and with that power-save support, that also the PCI cards are
put into sleep, when the system goes into sleep mode? (The machien in
question is a compile server (and source tree NFS server), that is
used onyl occasionally and goes into light sleep to reduce the noise it 
produces. With 1.5 network remained going in this state).
