Assuming this is using the tdfx driver, could you try out a new libvgahw.a
and tdfx_drv.o, at:

ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/arch/i386/1.5-XF86-4.0.2-fixes

And let me know how it works?
