Further amplifying information... My /home partition
was filling up, so the panic was caused by a user 
space process using up all free space on /home. It
used to be (before softdeps) it would just fail on
running out of space and generate a log entry/console
disk full complaint instead of a panic. Hopefully this
will be addressed soon. I am running a day old -current
with softdeps enabled i386 system.
