This is odd.

What I did:

* Installed 06/20 1.5Alpha snapshot from scratch without trouble
* Compiled CVS 1.10
* Downloaded current source through CVS
* make and install config
* Config and compile a new kernel
* Reboot using new kernel

Now network doesn't work anymore.  The device is detected and configured
properly.
Even ping localhost reports no route to host.

Going back to the snapshot generic kernel yields same result.

Booting from floppy and configure network using the utility menu works.

Anyone got a clue?
