I've been playing with a laptop, Inspiron 5000. It has cardbus, which works
if PCIBIOS, PCIBIOS_INTR_FIXUP and PCIBIOS_BUS_FIXUP are enabled. However,
when enabled, if I put in my wavelan card, the wi0 at pcmcia1 starts being
written to console, then the screen goes berzerk. Flashing bits all over,
multicolored blobs, and typing blind doesn't seem to have any affect either.
Cardbus detects as:
Aug 7 12:32:13 /netbsd: cbb0 at pci0 dev 4 function 0: Texas Instruments PCI1225 PCI-CardBus Bridge (rev. 0x01)
Aug 7 12:32:13 /netbsd: cbb1 at pci0 dev 4 function 1: Texas Instruments PCI1225 PCI-CardBus Bridge (rev. 0x01)

If I don't enable any of the PCIBIOS features, the wavelan card works fine.
I don't understand why it should cause the screen to go nuts, although that
could be a side effect of hanging, rather than cause. Should I send-pr
this problem?

I have a xircom card, RBEM56G-100, 10/100 + 56K modem. If I let the xircom
be detected as a tlp, it works fine for ethernet (no idea about the modem):
Aug 7 12:32:12 /netbsd: tlp0 at cardbus0 dev 0 function 0: Xircom X3201-3 Ethernet, pass 0.3
Aug 7 12:32:12 /netbsd: tlp0: Ethernet address 00:10:a4:b2:f1:b6
Aug 7 12:32:12 /netbsd: tqphy0 at tlp0 phy 0: 78Q2120 10/100 media interface, rev. 10
Aug 7 12:32:12 /netbsd: tqphy0: 10baseT, 10baseT-FDX, 100baseTX, 100baseTX-FDX, auto
Aug 7 12:32:12 /netbsd: com3 at cardbus0 dev 0 function 1: Xircom CardBus Ethernet 10/100 + Modem 56
Aug 7 12:32:12 /netbsd: com3: ns16550a, working fifo

If I let it be found as a xircom, it is not configured:
Aug 7 12:32:14 /netbsd: Xircom, CardBus Ethernet 10/100 + Modem 56, CBEM56G, 1.03 (manufacturer 0x105, product 0x103) Xircom X3201-3 Fast Ethernet Controller (21143) (ethernet network, revision 0x03) at cardbus0 dev 0 function 0 not configured
Aug 7 12:32:14 /netbsd: Xircom, CardBus Ethernet 10/100 + Modem 56, CBEM56G, 1.03 (manufacturer 0x105, product 0x1000) Xircom product 0x0103 (serial communications, interface 0x02, revision 0x03) at cardbus0 dev 0 function 1 not configured

I've got a DVD-ROM drive. I've been playing with the livid patches, but I
don't know how to make it do anything. Pointers to help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure that this matters, since I think apm works without it:
Aug 7 12:32:13 /netbsd: Intel 82371AB Power Management Controller (PIIX4) (miscellaneous bridge, revision 0x03) at pci0 dev 7 function 3 not configured

This doesn't work, what can I do to help get it supported?
Aug 7 12:32:13 /netbsd: ESS Technology Inc Maestro 2E PCI Audio Accelerator (a
udio multimedia, revision 0x10) at pci0 dev 8 function 0 not configured

I've got hibernation working just fine, as long as I'm on a text console
when it goes into hibernation (where hibernation == save to disk). I've
also got X working, but hibernation support isn't in X until 4.x, I've
heard. The graphics card is probed (by the X server) as:
Mach64: PCI: Mach64 Rage Mobility rev 100, Aperture @ 0xfd000000, Registers
@ 0xfc000000, Block I/O @ 0x2000
