SCSI will survive load better, but yeah, a dedicated interface for a CD-RW
should be fine.

I once got a CD-R for $269.  I haven't had any problems, but the company got
a class action lawsuit over them.  (Philips CDD-2600.  It was mentioned on
slashdot a while back.)
