look at /usr/pkg/src/sysutils/aperture

I run without INSECURE but with X and wscons. :-)
I lately had a problem with the aperture driver; make sure you can load the 
aperture lkm BEFORENET (i.e. it resides on / or /usr), and then it's 
easy as pie, and it just exposes your graphics, not all of kmem.
