I've had the same problem - but - only when logging in when xdm
(or kdm) is running.  Starting X with a 'startx' from the console
login works fine.  Use xdm, and I get random key repeats and
eventually a key gets 'stuck' on and repeasts endlessly.
This is with 1.4V on two different x86 machines.
