Ok, I recmpiled a kernel with this patch, it seems to work fine.
With the previous one I got the error message only once (although it
ran a partial 'make build' and the /etc/daily checks), so I can't say
for sure the problem is gone. I ran a 'cvs update' without troubles
and I'm running a 'make build' rigth now, along with a 'tar cvf /dev/null .',
all seems fine.
I'll let you know if I get more troubles.
