  Yes, it is. It is a local issue --- the network/server don't care,
or know.
  Just you have to build CVS with socks, or use a libc that supports
having it installed (I think there was a project to do this for netbsd).
  If you are talking about doing cvs :pserver: stuff from behind a SOCKS
firewall, that may be a easier to do with a plug-gw.
