Subject: mountd won't export /var/mail

defender is trying to mount starwolf:/var/mail on /var/mail. Mount
apparently succeeds but accesses to the filesystem return:

	/var/mail: Input/output error

mountd on starwolf complains:
mountd[5329]: "/var/mail	defender.starwolf.com", line 8: \
	Can't change attributes for /var/mail to defender.starwolf.com

Here's my exports file:

/usr defender.starwolf.com
/export defender.starwolf.com
/export/X11 -maproot=0 defender.starwolf.com
/usr/src -maproot=0 -alldirs defender.starwolf.com
/usr/share	-maproot=0 defender.starwolf.com
/export/local	-maproot=0 defender.starwolf.com
/usr/src/local	-maproot=0 -alldirs defender.starwolf.com
/var/mail	defender.starwolf.com
/holt defender.starwolf.com

I have stopped and started nfsd on the server, nfsiod on the client and
mountd on the server several times, and to no avail. Exporting /var
by itself does no good.
