I was able to try out the wavelan card on a co-worker's Powerbook. It rocks.
Now I have two reasons to upgrade to -current. The other is USB Visor cradle
support.

Peter Seebach suggested that my Metricom Ricochet's performace might be
improved by turning off RFC 1323 support. I used sysctl to turn it off and
noticed little or no improvement between home and work, about 9 hops.

Miles Nordin wrote privately to say that he'd been able to use his Ricochet
modem for telnet even though the company didn't advise it. He said that the
next generation Ricochet, due this summer in 11 cities IIRC, is supposed to be
better for telnet.

Thanks to all who participated.
