In the process of catching up with -current (from 1.4L), while already
running a 1.4R kernel build from sources supped a few hours ago, I got a
panic "timeout table full" after moderately stressing the filesystem, just
after a "make install" in /usr/src/gnu/lib, when the system sat there idle
for a few seconds.

The panic was not able to sync, nor could I drop into ddb, so no trace - sorry.

There is nothing special on this system (and I wasn't doing parallel builds
this time ;-) ). Filesystems are all FFS (/ and /usr) with softdep enabled.

Any ideas?
