 You could use the install.fs from the 1.4.1 distribution for this purpose.

 Hm, for installation purpose, there is no need for that. Just have
the distribtion on the cd9660-part of the CD. sysinst would mount CD
and install the binary sets.

 Another idea would of course be to create a life filesystem on the CD
and boot from this CD. I believe Joliet supports this. Never checked that
out though.
