In message <199910312216.XAA03547@arresum.inka.de>, it was written:

-> According to a linux boot disk the manfid of the card is: 0x0089, 0x1103
->
-> It should be an i82559 card, at least Intel says that it is based on
-> that chip.
->
-> Yes, I know that this is a different id then the one we have in cardbusdevs.

On a related note, anyone know how to ID the "real" i8255x CardBus cards?? I've
got a "Intel Pro/100 Mobile Adapter" (10/100 LAN + 56K modem), part number
MBLA3256, which gives me a "Xircom product 0x0003 (ethernet network, rev 0x03)
not configured" message.

Thanks!
