   It's unwise. And "COMPAT_14" isn't required only for the Sys V semaphore
   changes, the option existed much longer.


FWIW, i generally _always_ have the prior-release COMPAT_XX option as
things can suddenly fall under it that you were relying on (espcially
if you may not rebuild kernels for months at a time and even if you
did see a "heads-up" message, it might have been forgotten).
