This is a very bad thing.  As -current progresses, features which are
changed are *moved into* COMPAT_lastrelease in preparation for the next real
release (where these features will, indeed, be for compatibility only).

So, when running -current, and particularly if you will be upgrading
throughout -current, running COMPAT_lastrelease is more-or-less a
requirement.
