critfs_require_network ought to be in the default rc.conf, even if it is
commented out. I got snagged by this recently...

IMHO, there shouldn't be any "gotchas" where you can turn on something that
is in rc.conf and be slammed by something which doesn't exist there but
should. Our rc.conf is nicely self-documented, leading to a lack of my
randomly reading through the man page for it.
