And *I* think that's a *VERY* bad first impression to give people (and
of course it's been that way for *FAR* too long!).  Only seriosly
died-in-the-wool experts who really know what they're getting into
should ever do things like this.

Hmmm... I wonder what "find /usr/src /usr/pkgsrc -print | xargs fgrep
root" reveals about the sanity of this....  especially when pkgsrc has
all the "work" directories lying about....

I agree that it is possible, and that it should be OK, but I doubt it's
a wise thing to do these days....
