I've heard nothing from anyone about this. Does it indicate a bug with the
pciide code, or a problem with my hardware?

I'm building a kernel with the old code for now - I don't want to needlessly
put my stuff at risk, especially if my results aren't useful to anyone. If
there's anything I can do to help track things down, I'll be glad to help.
