I guess this qualifies as a flame.  Sorry about that - I know we're
trying to be kinder and gentler.  I just really, *really* hope I never
have to look at that BSDI code again.  I don't honestly know that PAM
is any better, but my vote is obviously to not integrate the BSD code.
Peter, I don't know what you see in it, unless they've really cleaned
it up since I was hacking on it.
