I've been running with the old compiler with haifa (via `make
USE_EGCS_HAFIA=1').  It seems to work for me.  Ian Lance Taylor
confirms there are no problems with li/lui pairs (which is what Warner
Losh mentioned as a potential problem) using gas/gld and ELF.

What's the wisdom on the EGCS list about using haifa on mips?
