This can't be right:

<70 gateway /audio/esound># make install
===>  Installing for esound-0.2.4
===>  esound-0.2.4 depends on file: /usr/X11R6/include/Xm/Xm.h - found
/bin/sh ./mkinstalldirs /usr/X11R6/lib
/bin/sh ./libtool  --mode=install /usr/bin/install -c -o root -g wheel -m 644 libesd.la /usr/X11R6/lib/libesd.la
/usr/bin/install -c -o root -g wheel -m 644 .libs/libesd.so.0.0 /usr/X11R6/lib/libesd.so.0.0
/usr/bin/install -c -o root -g wheel -m 644 libesd.la /usr/X11R6/lib/libesd.la
/usr/bin/install -c -o root -g wheel -m 644 .libs/libesd.a /usr/X11R6/lib/libesd.a
ranlib /usr/X11R6/lib/libesd.a
chmod 644 /usr/X11R6/lib/libesd.a
PATH="/root/bin:/sbin:/usr/sbin:/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/local/bin:/etc:/usr/etc:/usr/pkg/bin:/usr/pkg/sbin:/usr/pkg/java/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/src/distrib/sets:/usr/pkg/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/sbin" ldconfig -m /usr/X11R6/lib
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Libraries have been installed in:
   /usr/X11R6/lib

This isn't the only package that does this, either -- it happens for all
of them.

I cannot find anything, though, that would make it want to do that. I've
done a sup -o for pkgsrc, installed a build from last Saturday's sup, and
this is what is in my environment and mk.conf:

<72 gateway /usr/suplog># env | grep X11
PATH=/root/bin:/sbin:/usr/sbin:/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/local/bin:/etc:/usr/etc:/usr/pkg/bin:/usr/pkg/sbin:/usr/pkg/java/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/src/distrib/sets
KDEDIR=/usr/X11R6
<73 gateway /usr/suplog># cat /etc/mk.conf
UVM=1
PMAP_NEW=YES

PAPERSIZE=Letter
USE_RSAREF2=YES
USE_XFACE=YES
USE_MOTIF=YES

Can anybody point me to where the problem might be?

Thanks,
~Steve

Faith is the quality that enables you to eat blackberry jam on a picnic
without looking to see whether the seeds move.

Contrary to popular belief, Unix is user friendly.
It just happens to be selective about who it makes friends with.
