Bootmessages from previous kernel:
NetBSD 1.3H (WintelKiller) #35: Mon Oct 19 01:05:20 MEST 1998
thilo@WintelKiller:/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/WintelKiller
[...]
pciide0 at pci0 dev 15 function 0: Acer Labs M5229 UDMA IDE Controller (r=
ev. 0xc1)
pciide0: bus-master DMA support present
pciide0: primary channel configured to compatibility mode
(BTW: IDE&DMA worked fine with this kernel)
Bootmessages from kernel built with sources supped a few hours ago:
NetBSD 1.3H (WintelKiller) #37: Wed Oct 21 00:04:05 MEST 1998
thilo@WintelKiller:/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/WintelKiller
[...]
pciide0 at pci0 dev 15 function 0: Acer Labs M5229 UDMA IDE Controller (r=
ev. 0xc1)
pciide0: bus-master DMA support present, but unused (no driver support)
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
pciide0: primary channel configured to compatibility mode
This looks for me like somebody has recently (by accident?) removed
DMA-support for my IDE controller from kernel sources :-(
Please fix it,
or tell me, what I've done wrong.
Thank you,
Thilo.
FYI, here are my IDE-related Kernel-options:
pciide* at pci ? dev ? function ?=20
wd* at pciide? channel ? drive ?
(I don't need this atapi-stuff)
--=20
Mir ist mein Signature entlaufen :-(. Wer es findet, sende es bitte an
Thilo.Manske@HEH.Uni-Oldenburg.DE zur=FCck. Danke!=20
