The project is still running. You may have noticed a bunch of multi-processor
related commits to the kernel sources lately, which *may* be related.

Disclaimer: I only speack for my own here. I don't have much more informations
than the average user, so I'm just guessing ...

You should be able to run NetBSD on them, but the second proc will be
unused.
