I've seen the same thing when starting a linux-binary of netscape communicator,
with netbsd-current kernels I think since the libc signal changes. I just 
rebuild -current for i386 yesterday, and I don't know whether these messages
are still there (haven't tested yet). Anyway, your linux-cross-compilation
is not the cause of this, I think.

BTW: Has anyone ordered/received/tested the developers pre-release of Oracle-8
for Linux on NetBSD? Does/Should it work?
